Guiting Chapel History (5) Later Years |
|
A couple of specific developments at Guiting are worthy of note : In 1890 the energetic Rev Goodman was busy initiating and organising the construction of the schoolroom and vestry. Up to this point the Chapel appears to have had no ancilliary rooms. The new extensions were opened on July 9, at a cost of £67 / 3 / 8. In 1906 Goodman's nephew, Rev Chipperfield, undertook additional work to enlarge the Guiting schoolroom and have the Chapel reseated and renovated at the cost of £180. This was undertaken in memory of Rev Goodman. |
